HOW TO STOP TAKING THINGS PERSONALLY.
You have to understand that people do not do stuff because of you.
They do stuff because of themselves.
'Really? Even when they attack me?'
Correct.
How they feel about you is dictated by how they feel about themselves.
Making this realization helps you out tremendously in life.
'How?'
You are now going to be able to deal with 2 of life's biggest challenges:
- Criticism
- Rejection
These are 2 parts of life that you need to be able to deal with.
If you are working your way up, you are going to see it more than ever.
'What if I decide to remain a loser?'
Don't matter homie.
You will be criticized & rejected for being a loser.
'So I'm not the only person in the world that gets criticized & rejected?'
Correct.
Every SINGLE human on the planet goes thru it as well.
But... there's a catch.
'And what's that?'
Rejection & Criticism forms 2 Groups:
1. Losers
- Energy gets drained
- Self-esteem suffers
- They typically quit
2. Winners
- Energy remains unaffected
- Self-esteem remains unaffected
- They continue
Honest truth?
I spent years as a loser.
And believe it or not, most people start off as a loser as well.
However, after a long time, the loser is met with a fork in the road:
- Remain a loser
OR - Take the path of a winner
Once you learn the art of not taking things personally, taking the path of a winner becomes a no-brainer.
Why remain a loser when most of the fears are made up in your head?
The mental transition is not easy by any means.
But it is worth it.
Rejection & criticism will NEVER go away.
So train your internal world to overpower any rocks that the external world throws at you.
The more goals you cross off your list,
the less opinions or comments from the external world affect you.
Just keep moving forward.
Eyes on the prize at all times.
You are only responsible for your actions —
Not other people’s perceptions.
With that being said,
stop taking things so damn personally!
From here on out, start viewing rejection & criticism
as a workout for your internal world.
Maintain a strong frame. Don't get distracted.
